The Royal Blind School Appeal is an exciting and very ambitious fundraising campaign that will aim to raise £6.8m over 4 years to build a new home for blind children at The Royal Blind School.
Our bright idea for the next 4 years is to build a new residential centre for our pupils – a new home from home.
The centre will be based at The Royal Blind School, which has a long and distinguished history of meeting the needs of children and young people who are blind, visually impaired and who have multiple disabilities. The development will create an exceptional and innovative centre that will combine form and function to help light up lives for our pupils. The total cost of the new development is £6.8 million and we need to work hard to raise the £2m.
Former pupil and Paralympic medal winner Libby Clegg is leading the campaign on behalf of Royal Blind and in her own words states that she is very proud to be heading a campaign that she knows will help others to lead their life the way they want to.
